When are our classes?
Our classes take place on Thursday and Friday evenings at 7:30pm and 8:30pm.

What happens in class?
We start with a warm up, strengthening of all the muscle groups used in belly dance, a thorough breakdown of all the moves, drills, technique, combinations, a choreography which culminates the lesson, fun improvisation technique and stretch at the end.
Are there any age, height, weight restrictions?
You have to be over 18 to attend a class. There are no height or weight restrictions. If you have any concerns about your health please refer to your Doctor for advice before committing to a class.
What do I have to carry with me to class?
A bottle of water and a comfortable set of clothes is all you need.

What do I wear to class?
We recommend that you wear natural fibres and comfortable clothes that won’t restrict your movements. Leggings, tracksuits or a long skirt is ideal. A crop top, long top or t-shirt can be worn. We suggest you use a belly dance coin belt for added authenticity and for more fun in class! This can be purchased with us if you don’t already have one. Our coin belts high quality that will not wear and tear. We usually dance barefoot or in bellydance/ballet slippers.
How long is the class and what happens if I turn up late?
The class lasts for an hour and we recommend that you do a quick warm up if you have missed the first 10 minutes of the lesson. Hasina and her Instructors will be happy to go over what you missed at the end of the lesson.
Do I have to show my belly in class?
This is not a requirement but it does help establish your progress with each lesson.
Can I do two or three courses at the same time?
If you have mastered the basics and have confidence then you can do a Level 2 and Level 3 together. You can also combine these with workshops or classes on learning how to use bellydance props such as veils, fan veils, isis wings, drum solos, zills, double veil, swords and cane workshops.
Can I sample a class and drop in?
You can drop in to a class as long as it is arranged 48hrs prior to the day the class is commencing. We will have to check if there is availability before the booking is arranged. This is a great way to establish if the course is suitable for you and we highly recommend you drop in on Day 1 of the course or any day that convenient. Drop in fee is £12.
Can a friend drop in with me on a course that I am enrolled for?
If you want to invite a friend to trial one of our classes then we can offer a special rate if you are already enrolled into one of our courses.
Can I enrol into a course that has already started?
Yes, you can join a course that has already started and use your credits on the next course available. The cost of the course is the same is the total fee. There is no discount for classes missed, only credits to use at a later stage.
Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?
Childbirth professionals encourage the practice of belly dance for pregnancy. It strengthens the pelvic and deep abdominal muscles facilitating the process of birth and recovery. It is easier to bellydance during pregnancy if you have previous experience of bellydancing. If no prior experience then please consult with your Doctor for advice on whether to pursue a class or not. Please email us for advice on which belly dance moves to practice and not to practice during pregnancy.
I was unable to attend a lesson – can I continue or make up for the lesson with another class?
Revision is done in each class so you will have an opportunity to practice the moves that you missed from the previous lesson . Classes are strictly non-transferrable and non-refundable.
What will happen if I am running late to class?
We advise that you enter the studio discreetly so the lesson is not interrupted. Please do a quick warm up before you enter the studio or at the back before partaking in the lesson.
Are there any opportunities to perform and become a member of your Dance Troupe?
If you have the relevant experience and have trained up to an advanced level then you are more than welcome to apply and audition. We also look at whether there will be a team fit with other members of our group on top of experience.
